My Reads

September 2011 Finally finished The Help!  Good book...a little language in it, but overall, great read!  I am also reading the Patrick Bower Files series, by Stephen James.  The first book is called The Pawn...seriously, I could NOT put it down!  SOOOO good!  They are crime-serial killer-type books.  Working on the second one right now, The Rook.  Then comes, you guessed it, The Knight,  The Bishop, and then The Queen.  I am assuming he will write one called The King...
I think for now, that is all...I will probably update another time this month!
August 2011 Ok, update time!  I joined a book club!  Never thought I would do that, but why not?  I love to read, so its perfect!  We just finished reading the book The Help by Katherine Stockett.  Well, they finished, I'm still reading, haha...so far I like what I have read! Another series we are working on is the Homelander series by Andrew Klavan.  VERY good.  It's like the Bourne Identity movies, only in a Christian-ish version for teens.  Very good writing. My mom and I are reading (well, I'm done, she almost is done) the Dreamhouse Kings series by Robert Liparulo.  WOW.  Awesome books.  Really keeps you on your toes.  A definite recommend! Just finished Ted Dekker's new book, The Priest's Graveyard.  Ahh, he is such a good author!  I can't believe the amount of books I'm posting about, haha, but I just can't get enough!!! And last, but not least, I am reading the Bailey Flannigan series by Karen Kingsbury. The first was Leaving, and now I'm on Learning.  Karen, you are amazing! Ok, I think that's it for now...happy reads! May 2011 It is no secret in my house--I love to read!  You can pretty much find me whenever I have some down time with my nose buried in a book.   I love losing myself in the pages of a good book (or the screen of my amazing Nook)!  I'm going to take this page and list some of my favorites! Karen Kingsbury has got to be my favorite author.  I just finished her amazing Redemption, Firstborn, Sunrise, and Above the Line series.  I am starting to read them again, I love them so much!  I pretty much love anything by her.  They are stories that are true to real life situations.  I recommend anything by her! Of course, I can't leave out the classics.  I will admit, I am a Jane Austen junkie, Emma and Sense and Sensibility being my favorites!  I also love the Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas.  Of course, add Little Women to that list...always makes me cry! Ted Dekker is up there too.  I love his book Adam, as well as the Bride Collector, and Boneman's Daughter.  He is so creepy and mysterious! There are so many others, and I will add them as soon as I think of them, but for now, I need to go fix dinner!
